Tips for Going Out to Bid

Tip #2, References:

When selecting an electronic security integrator, one of the most important steps is to obtain a reference from a few existing customers.

Always ask for the following:

    • Company Name
    • Contact Name
    • Contact Title
    • The Company Address
    • Telephone Number

Suggestion:

Always ask for the contact person's e-mail address. When sending an e-mail keep it limited to a maximum of ten (10) questions. E- Mail works much better than voice mail.

References are very important. The more references you contact the more information you'll gather to help make your decision. So the next time you ask for a reference, don't forget to ask for their e-mail addresses.
