Tips for Going Out to Bid

Tip #1:

When going out to bid on an electronic security system it is important to remember you are entering into a partnership with your integrator. Typically you ask for itemized pricing and labor cost.

Suggestion:

Remember to ask for other information in the bid process such as:

    • What are the installation rates per hour?
    • What are the service rates per hour?
    • What are the travel rates per hour?
    • Is travel one-way or both ways?

You don't want to be surprised after the sale with rates and costs that you were not expecting.
